Entanglement at the Human Scale

for the benefit of those who might have been a little confused

 

I am flying across the Atlantic, far from the "Swiss conductor’s" watch-fob. I am entangled in thought ~ unbounded in the same process. So my inner voice is manifesting on the paper as inkish scribbles, soon as electronic impulses, and now again as resonances in your inner voice hearing my ideas. I’m glad you are still here - for the interrupted voyage to resume.

I was about to explore an unexpected territory of Being for you this past Saturday morning. Flying to a muse-ful space which is not unheard of for philosophical voyages ... nor unapprovable by ‘truth guardians’ ... (as some mathematicians, for example, posture themselves). If the quantum notion of "to be AND not to be" is now an accepted, rational, intuitive reality, then only a twitch of resistence is to be overcome, to gain the only leap left: join continuum AND quantum.

It is necessary to alert you to this, rather than expose it at the end of my originally planned entangled thought-journey. That is the intended destination. I realize now that you would have been uncomfortable if I had led you blindfoldedly on, removing gauzy layer by layer the comfortable mindsets and points of view you’re used to. In the scheme of things, it was good that I was cut short that morning. The Seers in the audience were already balking at my new direction. And anyone intimidated by their opinions would have been lost before I had carried you to the new high ground.

The holy grail of current science was to be the destination Saturday (still is actually). Meld the Finite with the Infinite. Quantum with continuum. The definite with the indefinite. The describable with the ineffable. And, make it a business model along the way. (!) {he wrote with a wry smile}.

I felt your expectations in the conference room that Saturday morning. Many of you were primed to accept the possibility I was posing. That real dynamic and human entanglements arise from a fundamental quality of the universe: that wave addition truly "adds" - retentively - rather than ‘cancels’, erasing joined information. Jack Cohen, et al., jumped too quickly to complain - though rightly so under typical mathematics - that the notion was "incorrect", "that’s not right".

But this is the key awakening idea, the seminal realization that everyone will have to make sooner or later. We must consider the presence of open and infinite alternatives-space, the unavoidably entangled and relationally involved potentials that co-exist together, whether our awareness is intimately present with them or not. These are Cantorspaces. Infinite upon infinite spaces. Even transfinite ones, as George Cantor labeled them. Present even if not designated. Present even if not alertly considered. Present. Always. Available to reach and fill, reach and ‘be’.

When you walk into any situation, you are already focused on familiar possibilities and relations. You read the dynamics and the interests and the pre-weighed values in certain usual ways. Everyone does. Priorities and preferred outcomes are the rule of the day. But every entrant to a situation brings new parameters, and every participant, a new grouping of possibilities and channels of connection. What you see is not all there is. Yet even if you enter without knowing all the particulars, you can step in wholly and confidently when you understand the core behavior dynamics of systems, regardless of the membership.

Even if certain themes or groupings dominate, even if a few characteristics sets are more prominent than others, the reality is the presence of many priority threads woven together. To value some over others, to shift priorities, is always an option. Yet, to be competent in order to blend them together, enabling the attainment of yet other larger goals and schemas is the ultimate priority. In mathematical vernacular, the sequence is Commutative ö non-Commutative ö Entangled Commutation (Comm & non-Comm). In non-mathematical vernacular, its simply the ability to handle many involvements at the same time - something, if you patiently review your life and the skills you already have, you are already competent doing. The only difference now being that you are expected to be an active orchestrator of these diversities, nurturing and guiding their plurality of blended interacting flows, all at the same time.

The universe can only be considered - as I said to you - a phenomenon of communication. I meant that totally and fully, not in any limited models you might envision. I am not discussing an agent-based existence where entities ‘carry’ force, and exchange energy/information by exchanging finer grained bits and pieces of moments (which model - even in quantum mechanical reasoning - is considered the nature of things). Rather, as I mentioned in one break-out session, the form of an event is the entangled load of several informations ... it is a channel enabler or breaker, it is the information made present with that enabling/breaking, and it is its configuration information ... its ‘shape’ ... while doing the enabling/breaking. This last notion being the sense and sensitivity of the form, concurrent with the information being freed or directed.

You have to look at situations and recognize not just these component aspects but all the flows of all the involvements, and all the potential interests or concerns that are included too. And when you can juggle all that, your focus will gestaltly jump to the next level: performance patterns. It will be almost as if you can literally ‘see’ the energy dynamics and accoutre-involvements. You will be able to comprehend not just the involvements of the moment, but the tendencies and directions, the involvements of flows tended toward. The ‘why’ of motivations. The ‘plans’ of any many intentions. The causal bindings within aspects that seem to have no connection. Intangible organizations suddenly becoming a tactile form, easy to understand.

Its at that point that you can look at previously difficult problems and recognize the smooth grace by which the ‘Complex’ organize and perform. And you have a new platform for translating back into particulars, the things which will accomplish smooth organization, self-sufficient sub-groupings, and the attainable qualities of gaian integrated performance. Open and unexpected encounters will no longer be a difficulty but simply embellishments to what is. New involvements adding in fact to the health and competence of systems, not necessarily negatively viewed challenges.

Do you recall I clearly stressed the total and free capricious presence of gravity outside ‘blackholes’. That fact means something. Something deep and crucial, which no current model of physics can come anywhere near addressing.

It will eventually mean something to scientists, but right now and most importantly, it means something to every non-scientist who is thought-voicing these readings. The physical tangible action based and intuitional world you know and thrive in is inextricably a world of causal being. ‘Form’ is not just ‘function’, is it meaning and purpose.

Everything is rich, imbued with meanings and with potentials. There are always alternative content, other uses, other connections. In every situation you are involved in, you track one main and possibly several branched and parallel intricacies - identity groups - Integrities - that twine, blend and are inextricably embeddedly masked in what you experience and are.

"So what?", you must say, "That is nothing new." Well, as you know it, that is true. But in what you’re being guided to know it as, it’s extremely important.

Every instant and moment, each event and act is a host of bound-timelines and integrities. And as many as you think yourself wise in, and know yourself competent in, you are being asked to be totally aware and totally competent in all possible threads - always and at all times. The repercussions and persuasions branch off in plural pleni-potential streams - and you must be super computative - projectively future minded - decisively choosing from all the involvements - weighing, planning or trustingly free-flowing with all the streams of weighted and blended outcomes. Where each node and moment is both ‘result’ and ‘new cause’.

And don’t be misled or lulled by mathematical microscopes which track some few streams or other, that intone some mathematical inertia or momentum forcing the results - always and only. That is not the complete picture, even if comfortable in its postured sureness. It is you in fact who are more competent than that. Singular models - no matter how ‘complex’ are no match for your own contemplative competence at tracing and tracking and guiding. You can see the dynamic world as hyper-volitional. Trends and counter-trends and even trends within trends. Duska nberg described it beautifully on Sunday morning, so did Ken and even Susan. Realizations aren’t just in ‘the mind’ but sensed and recognized in an almost visceral way. As tactile as ... an unseen field of energy truly present between the poles of two magnets. They can now be seen in all the fields and all the flows of behaviors among people and the living world the economic world the expressive and experienced world ... dancing among dances, goals and restraints, co-ordinations and competitions, levels and layers, implications and absolutions. Meanings concurrent with meanings. And every life seeking to affix a meaning and value for their acts.... and being. Integrities life-woven with integrities.

Nothing is strange. Nothing is exotic ... ‘away from the eyes’. Simply convoluted in ways you hadn’t considered before. But now can’t keep yourself back from seeing .. or exploring. Entangled thoughtways aren’t new. They’ve been with you always ~ you’re simply more cognizant now. What was ‘natural’, grows. And you are already at the next plateau ... where natural life is simply ‘super’ natural - a little bit more natural - where you can nurture many modalities all at the same time. Encouraging growth in every sector of life you touch.

"You see what you want to see, and you hear what you want to hear." It was never an accusation of being narrow minded or limited. It’s a clarion call to Infinity. It is your ascension of awakening - that you can be fully sentient - of all things, involved in all ways. Not some few or practiced mappings.

If you think you know two or three levels of commerce, you are selling yourself short. Even the few become more valuable when you tap the capacity to see beyond immediate transactions. And when you establish that degree of competence in the groups and lives you coordinate and touch, when they are participating designers, not tenuous commodities with unimportant life spans, that’s when you create enduring ‘structures’, even ones that have no mass, simply uncorruptable momentum.

Take a sheet of paper. Write something down on it that you think profound. A remark, a word, a phrase you truly believe in. A comment about love. A decision about work. A spiritual belief.

Now place the pen or pencil down, rest the paper atop your open palms. Raise your hands up parallel to the ceiling just to where you can only see the paper edge on. This isn’t a perfect experiment, but you’ll get the idea.

What you just wrote - in two full and extended dimensions - obvious and present - is now only visible in one dimension. Only it isn’t ‘visible’ the way it was before. It’s different - and yet the same. The information - the meaning - was given a different costume - a different number of dimensions to ‘exist’ in and be in. But the information, the meaning is still there. Not lost by compression, nor negated by being transformed. Simply waiting to be connected with again in the alternative way. Or, appreciated for still being there, even though ... ‘invisible’.

When you see your world from now on, appreciate the potential, revel in the possible connections, see more than your vision tells you you see. Build a business, build a relationship, grow a child, nurture a human’s insight. Create and coordinate. Be an architect of human relations. Entangle.
