TILL LIGHT AND DARKNESS WILL NOT MERE

 

 

Princely was and princely will be else,
only persons will be slightly other
and nobody will recall my mother
which in dreams me something calmly tells.

Sadly smiles the moon, and ourselves
we prepare for future, and we'd rather
time was not like hole which us gather,
minimizing bodies, thoughts, and wells

of that life. How big we are, however!
How sun is bright! How cats are clever!
How, oh, the Being 's our, how we're

alien, strange and far to him. How I'm here
with my pains to fill the jar of time, ere
then till light and darkness will not mere.
